Accounting, tax and business services What We Do Devries, Huntley, Trifiletti & Loy, Inc., is in the business of providing general accounting, tax and consulting services to small businesses in the Northern Ohio area.  Our goal is to provide the maximum service to clients, but only in our area of expertise. We endeavor to develop an attitude of a joint venture between our clients and our firm.  Our firm's continuing goal is for each staff person to make a personal commitment towards building "service" as the foundation of Devries, Huntley, Trifiletti & Loy, Inc. History Devries, Huntley, Trifiletti & Loy, Inc., was started in 1969 as a part-time business by Robert K. Smith, who was at that time a professor in the business department at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea.  As more clients were added and the business grew, it became his full-time occupation in 1975.  On October 1, 1977, the firm was incorporated as a professional corporation under the name R. K. Smith & Associates, Inc.  Continued growth and the addition of professional staff personnel over the years have brought us to our present day organizational level.  In 1992, Jim Loy became a shareholder followed by Dave Devries and Amy Huntley in 1995 and Mike Trifiletti in 2001.  In October 2003, the firm name was changed to Devries, Huntley, Trifiletti & Loy, Inc.
